Dot used to open with its own name and four questions picked at random. Now it opens with the thing you'd have gone looking for anyway.

"Two accounts are under pace this month. Mega Cash is furthest off at −12.5%." Click the account name to go straight to it. The first suggested question answers the sentence — "Why is Mega Cash under pace?" — so the obvious next move is one click away.

Only accounts with a real pace figure are counted. One with no budget set, or a flight window that hasn't had its first run yet, is left out rather than quietly counted as fine. If two accounts are equally far off, Dot names neither. And if everything is within 4% of pace, it says so rather than inventing something to worry about.

Open Dot from an account page and the sentence is about that account instead: how far off plan it is, what's left to spend, and how many days are left in the month.

A new release used to pulse the Dot button green, and opening Dot dropped you into a conversation about it whether you wanted one or not.

Now it's one line at the bottom of Dot's opening screen: a small New or Improved badge and the title. Click it to hear about the release, or dismiss it with the ✕. If a few have piled up the line reads "3 new" and Dot covers them all in one message. Either way it goes away on its own after a week.

Leave the page alone for a bit and the Dot button starts doing small things to itself. A blink. A look sideways at something. A slow breath. An eyebrow raised at nothing in particular. Once in a while, a hop.

They're short, stop-motion beats — no sound, no badge, nothing asking you to click. Dot won't start until the page has been still for twenty seconds, won't do it while you're chatting, and won't do it in a background tab.

It also knows when to stop. After a few gestures the pauses get longer, and after ten Dot goes quiet until you next talk to it. Move your mouse over the button and it stops mid-gesture. If you have "reduce motion" turned on in your system settings, none of this runs at all.

Saving a bidding strategy change could fail with a "couldn't complete this change" error — whether the strategy carried a target CPA or ROAS, or was a Maximize conversions or Maximize clicks setup with no target at all. Both are fixed. And when Google Ads does turn down an edit, the error now tells you what it objected to instead of a generic apology.

Opening a portfolio to see the accounts inside it used to push the table wider than your screen, so you had to scroll sideways to reach the last columns — and the accounts sat slightly inset from the portfolio row above them rather than lining up with it.

The account rows now span the full width of the table and share its columns exactly. On a narrower screen they give ground gradually — the name, spend bar and trend lines take a little less room — instead of forcing the whole table off the edge.
